I open markets for mission-critical hardware, and build civil defense capability in Taiwan.
Industrial computing and edge AI for European transport and defense customers. Founder of a civil defense organization. I use AI daily and build the tools my team runs on.
Three things, in parallel.
Industrial & defense hardware
I develop Western Europe for Axiomtek — rugged computing and edge-AI vision for rail, onboard vehicle, retail, and defense platforms.
Civil defense & resilience
I founded and chair CDAT and 港湖民防團 — training ordinary people in emergency care, communications and drones, and running joint exercises.
AI, applied
AI lead at Axiomtek. I'm both the daily user and the one building the internal tools — which is why I write about what actually works.
Latest projects.
Taiwan drone no-fly zone dataset
All 22 counties' restricted-airspace notices normalised into one open GeoJSON dataset — ~5,000 sites, with the time dimension no official source publishes.
Read the case →Taipei street tree removal map
Comparing city tree inventories across snapshots to surface trees quietly removed, plus a crowdsourced photo-reporting platform.
Write-up comingInformation freedom hackathon
A workshop-and-build programme against foreign information manipulation, pairing Taiwanese teams with Ukrainian and Belarusian frontline practitioners.
Write-up comingFRA2026 joint civil defense exercise
Multi-organisation field exercise in Nantou. I served on the exercise control staff, running administration and logistics across participating units.
Write-up comingThoughts
"It still works" is no longer a good enough reason
A hacked fridge in France and a grocery group taken offline in the Netherlands say the same thing: in an AI era, whether a device can defend itself is now part of whether it is worth keeping.
What Is Whole-of-Society Resilience
From the nation to businesses, communities, families, and individuals — resilience is how fast you recover after getting punched.
Don't Be Civil Defense's Giant Baby
The challenge of government mobilizing civilian capacity, and how civil defense groups can respond.
